Lightware is expanding its LARA (Lightware Advanced Room Automation) platform with the Gude Power Distribution Units (PDU) driver module. Gude devices can now be incorporated into the LARA environment, allowing AV devices and intelligent power distribution to be managed together through unified automation workflows.
For system integrators, this means simplified deployment, operation and maintenance.
The integration gives users greater control over connected equipment by bringing Gude power management into LARA’s AV automation workflows. LARA can control Gude PDU outlets directly, enabling integrators to automate startup and shutdown sequences, power-cycle individual devices and monitor power consumption.
This allows intelligent power distribution to be managed alongside AV devices within LARA. Change events can also be logged, providing greater visibility into system operation.
