University College London (UCL) has chosen Lucid's Blueprint software-led control platform to deliver a smarter, more accessible way to manage its AV systems across an expanding and diverse campus.
As one of the top universities in the UK, UCL managed hundreds of rooms with different layouts, hardware requirements and usage demands. Over time, maintaining alignment across such a mixed estate became increasingly time-consuming and expensive. Their in-house AV team needed standardised control logic across every room, faster deployment without coding complexity and the ability to update spaces independently, without waiting for external specialists.
With growing pressure to deliver consistent room performance at scale, UCL required a solution that would put control back in their hands.

UCL chose Blueprint, a visual configuration tool powered by Microsoft Azure. Instead of writing code, UCL’s engineers designed control workflows using a drag-and-drop interface, turning drawings into fully functioning systems in minutes.
