Lightware has announced that its Taurus product range now supports switching for 5K and 21:9 ultrawide display formats, enabling compatibility with hybrid environments and ultrawide meeting room layouts.
Native 5K and 21:9 display compatibility allows Taurus devices to display collaboration interfaces as intended, showing more participants, shared content, and chat simultaneously without cropping, scaling, or distortion. The wider canvas allows users to view several sources or applications side by side, simplifying management for multi-window workflows for creative studios, control rooms and training environments with immersive content.
Taurus devices also include a newly expanded EDID library to automatically detect and configure 5K and 21:9 displays without manual setup, reducing deployment time.
5K supports is currently supported across the Taurus product range, including the Taurus UCX HC40 and HC60, Taurus DCX, Taurus TPX and Taurus TPN models. Full 5K capability will extend to the entire UCX/DCX lineup, including the HC30 variants.
