Jetbuilt has introduced Jetbot Drawings, a new AI-powered feature that automatically generates complete AV system schematics within seconds.
Integrated directly into the Jetbuilt platform, the tool uses Jetbuilt’s proprietary AI engine, Jetbot, to translate project data into accurate, detailed wiring diagrams in a process it claims compresses hours of manual engineering into seconds.
Jetbot Drawings automates the process of creating schematics by interpreting a project’s bill of materials and scope of work to instantly connect sources, processors, mixers, displays, and speakers using customised lines, colour styles, and wire numbering schemes.
Over two years in development, Jetbot has been trained on thousands of product manuals, integration guides, and AV best practices, enabling it to create logical, standards-based connections that reflect how engineers typically design systems. According to Jetbuilt, large project schematics that once took hours or days can now be produced in around ten seconds.
Designers retain full control of the output. Schematics can be adjusted manually or through natural language commands using a “Modify” button, which allows users to request specific changes, from moving a single source to reconfiguring an entire patch layout.
Jetbot Drawings can also be exported in DWG format, allowing seamless integration with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD and Vectorworks. The tool builds on Jetbuilt’s existing Vectorworks integration, with AutoCAD compatibility scheduled for release soon.
“Audiovisual designers value the creativity and problem-solving nature of their work, and we believe AI should support, not replace, that creativity,” said Paul Dexter, CEO and founder of Jetbuilt. “We’ve designed Jetbot Drawings, like other Jetbuilt features, to take on the most time-consuming and complex parts of the workflow.”
Dexter added that the feature allows integrators to “extend the reach of a single engineer,” freeing them to focus on higher-value tasks such as system design, installation, and client interaction.
While Jetbot Drawings currently focuses on schematic generation, Jetbuilt confirmed that development is already underway on additional features, including automated rack elevations and floor plans. Future updates will provide detailed rack layouts, equipment placement, and cable routing information.
