Epson targets education with interactive projectors

Epson has its sights on the education market, unveiling two interactive projectors, the EB-455Wi and EB-465I, at the BETT show in London.

The projector is delivered with a digital pen and wall-mount. It does not require a separate screen or interactive whiteboard and can make any flat surface, including tabletops, interactive.

Epson says the EB-455Wi and EB-465i achieve projection sizes up to 97” and 102” respectively and are fully interactive right to the corners. The ultra-short-throw design means a 70-inch projected image is created from a distance of 15.7cm and 12.5cm respectively.

The models include an integrated 12W speaker, a microphone input and audio in/out.

The Epson EB-455Wi and EB-465i will be available from March 2011 and will be shown on at BETT UK, Olympia, National Hall, Stand L40.
