Electro-Voice has debuted its EVIDn IP-networked ceiling, surface mount, and pendant loudspeakers, delivering power, audio, and data over a single cable via an integrated PoE+ module.
The EVIDn series is designed for network-managed commercial audio installations, built on a shared internal PoE+ module architecture which allows each model to combine single-cable installation with the flexibility to choose the right mounting option for each project.
Ceiling models are available in standard and low-profile versions, while the surface mount model is IP65 rated for both indoor and outdoor use.
Every model is pre-tuned to match its equivalent EVID model, using a dynamic EQ feature to maintain the tonal balance as listening levels change.
The EVIDn series can be deployed on the structural cabling already present in most commercial buildings without a dedicated amplifier room. Each loudspeaker is individually addressable, meaning tuning and monitoring are handled in software and can be adjusted as a space changes. Support for Dante and AES67 are also included ensuring compatibility with the wider networked audio system.
PoE+ delivers up to 30 W to each loudspeaker, with standard PoE compatibility for existing infrastructure. Network security is built in with 802.1X compliance to meet the authentication requirements encountered in enterprise networks. The entire range is configured, monitored, and managed through a browser-based web interface that requires no separate software installation.
A SwiftLock mounting system is included, designed for one-person installation, which includes tile rails, mounting rings, magnetic grilles, and support for fully terminated Ethernet cables to reduce time spent on installation per loudspeaker.
The EVIDn range will be available globally in early 2027, with pendant models to follow later in the year.
