BrightSign will demonstrate playback of High Dynamic Range (HDR) content on its 4K players as well as Bluetooth and beacon integration at ISE in Amsterdam.
The company’s 4K players currently deliver 10-bit per channel colour and require a firmware update for compatibility with emerging HDR screens. HDR support will be available for all BrightSign 4K players with release 6.1 of the player firmware, which will include HDMI 2.0a support. All existing players can be upgraded free of charge when the new firmware is released.
BrightSign’s 6.1 firmware will also enable Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) and beacon support for digital signage applications of all kinds.
The company will exhibit on booth 8-K310 at ISE, Amsterdam RAI, February 9 to 12, 2016.
