Barco UniSee 500+ boosts image performance while cutting power use by 25%

Barco has launched UniSee 500+, the latest generation of its UniSee LCD video wall platform, combining improved image performance with a 25% reduction in power consumption.

Designed for 24/7 environments such as control rooms, corporate boardrooms and experience centres, UniSee 500+ builds on Barco’s established UniSee architecture, including its NoGap bezel technology and precision mounting system.

UniSee 500+ introduces smart local dimming in the 500-nit LCD segment, aimed at improving contrast, image clarity and visual accuracy for operators. Enhanced inter-panel communication and advanced colour, brightness and contrast calibration are designed to deliver greater uniformity and consistent performance across large video walls throughout their operational lifetime.

For continuous operation, the platform achieves EMC Class B certification, reducing electromagnetic emissions compared to previous generations. Heat radiation has also been lowered, supporting improved ergonomics in control room environments. Expanded software monitoring provides deeper insight into panel health and lifecycle status, helping reduce downtime.

Power consumption has been reduced by 25% compared to the previous UniSee 500 model, lowering operational costs and supporting sustainability targets. UniSee 500+ has also achieved Barco’s A+ Eco score.

UniSee 500+ is TAA compliant and will be available to order from the end of Q1 2026 through Barco’s global partner network. The platform remains compatible with the existing UniSee ecosystem, including UniSee Mount and InvisiMount.

Barco will showcase UniSee 500+ at ISE 2026 on stand 5N390.
