Aten launches new DisplayPort KVM extenders for control rooms

Aten Technology has announced new 5K DisplayPort KVM over IP extenders, designed for control room environments.

Aten’s new KVM over IP extenders can be combined with Aten’s KVM over IP matrix manager (CCKM) to extend, control, monitor and access DisplayPort-interfaced PCs across an independent network, enabling flexible configurations.

Aten’s new range features native DisplayPort signal processing with colour depth up to 12 bits and support for HDR 10, with lossless video compression up to 5K with zero latency.

Video quality up to 5120x1440 @ 60 Hz (4:4:4) is supported, as well as 5120x2880 @ 30 Hz (4:4:4), 4096x2160 @ 60 Hz (4:4:4), 1920x1080 @ 240 Hz (4:4:4) and 2560x1440 @ 144 Hz (4:4:4).

USB isochronous transfer is enabled to allow USB camera and USB speaker usage between the transmitter and receiver, with network/power redundancy for improved system reliability and uninterrupted operations and power failover.

Users can also switch between two ports in 0.3 seconds with no blank screen transition.
