Unicol Engineering has successfully delivered specialist mounts for the British Airways Global Learning Academy (GLA) at Heathrow Airport.
The project features both a bespoke Kiosk design for an Aircraft Door Training Screen and Parabella bases supporting CleverLive interactive displays throughout the facility.
The deployment was completed in partnership with SPC Group, which specified the system for British Airways’ training and communications needs. The facility includes a 16-bay simulator hall, full-size cabin mock-ups with operational galleys and safety equipment, and over 75 purpose-built classrooms for theoretical and practical instruction.
With training running around the clock to support both initial and recurrent programmes, the need for consistent, real-time communication across the site was essential.
The Aircraft Door Training Screen installation features a specially designed Edgeline digital signage totems that houses an 86-in portrait-mounted display. This custom mount delivers a professional, user-friendly training platform for aviation crew, enabling the next generation of professionals to gain hands-on experience with real-world procedures.
Additionally, Unicol Parabella AV Stands were installed to mount Clevertouch interactive displays throughout the GLA. The British Airways Global Training Academy uses its Clevertouch CleverLive interactive screens for Aircraft Door Training, providing real-time scenario walkthroughs, safety animations, and hands-on door simulations that give trainees instant, visual feedback bringing every procedure to life.
