HK Audio has hosted a two-day Concert Sound operator training course for users, technicians and rental partners, focused on practical experience with its Contour X and Cosmo series systems.
Led by HKademy Audio experts, the course combined classroom learning with hands-on system setup, measurement and optimisation. It covered system planning, safety regulations, rigging, cabling and fine-tuning in live sound scenarios.
The training was organised by HK Audio’s German and Austrian sales team to help users build confidence in deploying Concert Sound products in everyday applications.
Sebastian Huber, head of sales for Germany and Austria at HK Audio, said: “Many customers are already familiar with the product through presentations or demos, but we see significant value in creating a dedicated setting where they can deepen their understanding, ask detailed questions and work directly with the system.”
Across the two days, attendees worked with software platforms including EASE Focus 3, LAKE and ArmoniaPlus, as well as measurement tools such as Smaart and Open Sound Meter.
HK Audio said consistency was a key theme of the course, reflecting the need for standardised workflows as productions move between different venues and countries.
Lead trainer Karel Noon, application support engineer for HK Audio, said combining theory with physical system deployment was central to the training. He highlighted cardioid subwoofer setups as one area where hands-on experience was particularly valuable.
The course also addressed the growing role of software in modern PA systems, with HK Audio positioning practical technical education as increasingly important for engineers working with more flexible and powerful systems.
By the end of the training, attendees had become certified Concert Sound operators and gained practical experience working directly with HK Audio systems.
Huber said events of this kind also create a platform for exchange between HK Audio and its customers, while strengthening long-term partnerships through shared experience and knowledge transfer.
