A music museum in Seattle, USA, is using Barco 7mm indoor LED for a curved 60ft by 33ft display unveiled alongside its new exhibition titled “Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses.†The screen is installed in the Experience Music Project’s (EMP’s) Sky Church event venue.
The Barco C7 black package display display spans the width of the special event venue and will showcase a variety of media, including concert footage, short films, live feeds of museum events and programs, as well as video support for private events, live concerts and film screenings.
EMP's Sky Church serves as a centerpiece and is designed to be one of the most awe-inspiring locations in the building. The new screen is hoped to enhance visitors' musical and visual experiences.
“Barco was able to offer the state-of-the-art technology and critical level of performance to match the large-scale demands of EMP's Sky Church, the museum's grand hall that serves as a destination for visitors and our venue for major events,” said Forrest Gibson, EMP's chief technology officer. “This upgrade delivers extraordinary visual and entertainment experiences at greater than HD resolution, includes new 5.1 surround audio and all-new HD production tools to maximize the display impact of the screen in our unique environment.”
