TV Audio, a South African-based AV and staging distributor has announced a company rebrand and name change at an event held at their Midrand offices.
The TV Audio journey began back in the 1970s as a TV Repair Shop on Lois Botha Ave, Orange Grove. In 1982, owner Peter Berry jumped at an opportunity presented by long-time friend, Anthony Chavkin to buy into the company. Over the years the duo created a TV spares and electronics components shop.
In 2001, the company found itself in new territory when it began distributing Skytronic’s range of sound, lighting, and accessories. Berry subsequently took over TV Audio in its entirety and continued to pave the way to where it is positioned today: a distributor of reliable professional audio, lighting, and AV brands.
“As from now on we will be trading under a new name, a name that we believe tells it all, what we do, where we are going, and what we are good at. What we are number one at… product availability, customer service, and solving customer challenges,’’added Berry (pictured below).
