Tateside delivers office upgrade for expanded London headquarters
Tateside has delivered a comprehensive office upgrade for a company specialising in data analysis for the sports industry, delivering a full refurbishment and fit-out of its expanding headquarters in London.

Tateside was required to both refurbish and refresh the existing floors and fit out the new office spaces with an AV system fit for the needs of a data-driven analytics company.

The integrator was also tasked with delivering background audio and digital signage zoned across the office floors, with the eventual goal of rolling out the same standard delivery across the existing levels of the building.

The client wanted to reuse and integrate a Cisco-based ecosystem, requiring Tateside to undertake a considerable amount of product testing and consultation with manufacturers to design a system that fit the client’s requirements and also integrated with third-party audio from Sennheiser.

As a result, Tateside delivered a system that both performs and blends in with the aesthetic or can be hidden behind acoustic fabrics entirely.

Two large on-site boardrooms are equipped with a Cisco Room Bar Pro and 85-in Samsung commercial display, with improved audio pickup using Sennheiser TeamConnect ceiling microphones and Bose DM3 pendant speakers driven by Powersoft Mezzo amplifier, all hidden behind the fabric ceiling.

Audio AEC processing is delivered via Q-SYS Core Nanos, with each room featuring a Cisco room booking panel.

Tateside also delivered a multi-purpose event space, a large hybrid environment that can also be configured as a boardroom. For this setup, Tateside provided a Crestron control system to handle the multifacted technology in the space, which had to be easy to operate for the end user. A K-Array sound system is provided here, as well as multiple Samsung 85-in displays, Sennheiser TeamConnect and handheld microphones, Cisco Room Bar Pro for videoconferencing and a networked Bluestream video over IP setup.

The in-room sound system is based on K-array’s Vyper loudspeakers, providing discreet audio that can take the space from board meetings to social events.

Low-end frequencies are supported by Rumble subwoofers, located beneath each Vyper unit. Sennheiser handheld microphones were selected for event communication, alongside three Samsung 85-in screens for visuals.

For unified room control, all AV components can be controlled via a wall-mounted Crestron touchpanel, which also handles inputs and outputs.

The offices are also home to ‘hang-out’ spaces for informal meetings and daily collaboration, including a dining and bar area. Here, Samsung 75-in Frame screens are installed with control via tabletop Crestron touchscreens.

Consistent background audio was a top requirement for the client, requiring pairs of Bose DM3 pendant loudspeakers for discreet audio. Outside on the terrace, four Bowers & Wilkins AM1s offer background audio for employees grabbing fresh air, with audio driven by Sonos ports.

For live streaming of matches and games as a core component of employees’ workdays, Tateside integrated Samsung 50-in screens, suspended from Unicol ceiling mounts, throughout the workspace, using the client’s existing Just Add Power 4K transmitters and receivers for video signal transmission.

Joby Morris, project manager, Tateside, commented: “We’ve worked with this client for over a decade now, and as technology evolves and new products and solutions come out, it is a testament to our level of service and expertise that they continue to reach out to us for all their AV needs,” confirms Morris. “This is important for us in terms of our integrity and helps build our reputation as a truly client-focused service provider.”
