Shure UK ends Phonic distribution agreement
Shure Distribution UK has severed its distribution agreement with Taiwanese manufacturer, Phonic.

Peter James, managing director of Shure UK, said: “The advanced technology in Shure’s Axient and ULX-D products, QSC Audio’s Q-Sys Audio Network, and our recent deal to distribute DIS requires us to align our resources in areas outside Phonic’s core market and product development focus.”

Phonic manufactures compact audio mixers, amplifiers, processors and other pro audio equipment for the MI, pro audio and installation markets.

James added: " This was a huge decision for us, and one that we considered and deliberated over for many months, but in light of developments within the product ranges of our core brands, it was the only decision that made sense.

“We agreed to continue to support Phonic until a new distributor was found, or until the beginning of our new financial year, whichever came sooner. Our new year is now under way, and it’s time to officially part company. Details of the new Phonic distributor will be posted on their website in due course.”
