Sphere Entertainment has announced that it will bring The Wizard of Oz to life in a ‘fully immersive’ experience at the Las Vegas venue.
The original 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz, will be
shown as a fully immersive experience for Sphere as part
of a collaboration between Warner Bros. Discovery, Google, and Magnopus.
The
classic film will be enhanced through the venue’s technologies, aiming
to maintain the integrity of the original technicolour classic while also
making use of the Sphere’s experiential medium.
The show, titled
The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, features Academy Award nominated producer
Jane Rosenthal, as well as Academy Award-winning visual effects specialist
Ben Grossmann, Academy Award-winning editor Jennifer Lame, and creative director Zack Winokur.
