DVIGear, Aurora and Techlogix are the latest names added to the recently formed SDVoE Alliance as plans for a 4K streaming codec shootout at ISE 2017 also emerge.
DVIGear, a supplier of AV connectivity products, has announced its DisplayNet family of products use Software Defined Video over Ethernet (SDVoE) technology to transport uncompressed AV signals over 10GbE Ethernet networks. It joins as a contributor member.
Aurora and Techlogix Networx, US manufacturer of AV signal distribution products, have both joined as adopter members.
The SDVoE Alliance is planning to stage an interactive, head-to-head demonstration of several codecs for AV-over-Ethernet applications at ISE 2017 in a bid to let system integrators, designers, consultants and users compare video quality, latency and bandwidth requirements for AV signal distribution. SDVoE technology will pitted against H.264/AVC, MJPEG and VC-2.
