Martin Audio has formalised its long-standing relationship with Tech Ease Systems by appointing the company as an official distributor across a number of East and Central African territories.
The Kampala-headquartered systems specialist has been working with the loudspeaker manufacturer since 2018, promoting Martin Audio products across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, DR Congo, Rwanda and Burundi. The new agreement upgrades that informal arrangement to full distributor status, effective immediately.
Founded by systems consultant Vincent Kasule, Tech Ease Systems has been instrumental in increasing Martin Audio’s visibility in the region over the past seven years, while also addressing the presence of counterfeit products in the market. According to Martin Audio EMEA account manager Andy Duffield, the move reflects both the company’s track record and its commitment to developing the brand locally.
Kasule points to improving market conditions following the pandemic as a key driver for growth. “Music is a major part of African cultural expression, and demand for quality is growing in the region, especially in the house of worship and rental sectors,” he says. “This points to a very bright future.”
With its headquarters in Kampala and teams active across neighbouring countries, Tech Ease Systems is now focused on expanding access to Martin Audio’s larger-format systems to support major one-off concerts and touring productions. An existing partner in DR Congo already holds inventory including WPL, WPC, SXH and XE systems, while discussions are under way with potential partners in Kenya, with agreements expected to be finalised in the first half of 2026.
Alongside inventory growth, the distributor plans to host local and regional open days, demonstrations and education-focused marketing events to broaden awareness and technical understanding of the brand. Tech Ease Systems has also been working with Martin Audio’s Product Support Group on virtual training, with in-person training planned for 2026.
The appointment strengthens a portfolio that already includes other UK-based pro audio brands such as Allen & Heath and DiGiCo, which Kasule believes will create technical and commercial synergies across the region.
Duffield says the decision to formalise the partnership was straightforward. “Over the course of a relationship stretching back to 2018, the team at Tech Ease Systems have consistently impressed with their technical competence, proactive sales and marketing, and customer-focused approach,” he says. “The formalisation of the agreement [was] a very logical and easy step to take for both parties and one which will provide great benefit our customers across Central and Eastern Africa.”
