LED Studio and Cree LED introduce OptiLamp LED components
LED Studio and Cree LED have announced a strategic partnership to introduce new LED display components designed to simplify LED systems.

The partnership is centred on OptiLamp, LED components that are designed to redefine where the critical electronics in an LED system reside, engineering most of the circuity into a single diode to simplify the system.

By reducing the number of external components, the companies say that displays can become lighter and more efficient, with fewer potential failure points, lower power consumption, and a streamlined manufacturing process.

Monitoring and calibration data operate at pixel level, allowing brightness and colour consistency to be maintained more precisely over time to support longer product lifecycles, improved reliability and more predictable maintenance.

Robert Bint, CEO, LED Studio, commented: “This is about simplifying LED display technology at its core. By bringing together what was once spread across the module into a single diode, we reduce complexity while improving performance. It’s a smarter way to build displays - we’re engineering the next generation of display systems.”
