GVAV celebrates 50th birthday with large investment programme
UK systems integrator GVAV is celebrating five decades delivering AV projects, its anniversary celebrations are underpinned by an ongoing multi-million-pound infrastructure investment programme, which has seen major upgrades to its regional branch network across the UK.

Alongside its physical footprint, GVAV continues to invest in its people, growing to a team of more than 170 nationwide. This investment is central to supporting increasingly complex projects, and ensuring the business remains well-positioned both regionally and nationally to meet the evolving needs of clients across all sectors.

Under the leadership of Brian Abrahams and Lilian Cutting, a specialist video division within Greenham Trading under Taylor Woodrow PLC was founded in 1976. Rapid expansion during the 1980s and 1990s saw major supply contracts secured with councils, schools, colleges and universities across the UK. In response to demand, the company invested in its technical and engineering teams, enabling delivery of complex AV design and integration projects.

Following the sale of Greenham Trading to Bunzl PLC in 2001, Abrahams and Cutting led a management buyout of the video division, establishing GV Multimedia as an independent AV.

In 2020, GV Multimedia rebranded as GVAV to coincide with a leadership transition, as Brian and Lilian entrusted the company to their respective children: Daniel Abrahams, Kristian Cutting, Nicola Cutting and Michelle Shepherd-Endersby.
