Samsung had initially planned to unveil the product on 29 September and then launch sales in October, but the schedule has been adjusted due to internal marketing strategy coordination and quality assurance, according to ET News. A new launch date of October 21 is now being circulated.
Entitled Project Moohan, it is Samsung's answer to Apple’s Vision Pro VR headset. It will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2, a more powerful version of the chip powering the Meta Quest 3 and 3S.
Dual micro-OLED displays inside have a reported resolution of 3552 x 3840 with support for advanced eye- and hand-tracking.
The device runs the Android XR platform, which includes integration with Google Gemini, users can control the headset with hand gestures.
