Digital Projection laser projectors paint the Noorderkerk Church with light to bring a one-of-a-kind exhibition to life.
Vincent meets Rembrandt: The Untold Story is an exhibition that combines visuals with a compelling audio narration, relying on Digital Projection technologies to bring the experience to life.
Audiovisual integrator, Pronorm, took the lead on the project, using light and colours inspired by van Gogh to inspire the storytelling component of the project.
Pronorm selected the Noorderkerk Church for the venue, specifying Digital Projection’s E-Vision Laser 11000 4K-UHD projectors, E-Vision Laser 10K, E-Vision Laser 8500 and M-Vision Laser 21000 WU 1-DLP laser projectors.
Even output was a key requirement across all projectors, ensuring a consistent experience for each visitor. Pronorm used 38 Digital Projection laser projectors cross the venue’s ceiling, walls and floor, while also incorporating 12 Fohhn Audio DLI-130 beam steering active column speakers, five Fohhn AS-ss ASX subwoofers and seven Vioso Anystation Media 4K media servers.
Content creation company, MP Studios, also played a pivotal role in creating the storyline and translating it into imagery. Seven distinctive movies were created for the experience, each projected onto a specific area of the church. The content was then divided into seven segments, fed into the projectors via the Vioso media servers.
The main video content is projected onto the walls, ceiling and floor, while using the church’s columns to create an ambilight effect.
