Renkus-Heinz Iconyx Compact loudspeakers were installed throughout Basel Train Station in Switzerland to overcome background noise and reflective surfaces and deliver clear audio announcements.
The station is a primary hub for travel throughout
Europe and is often regarded as Europe’s busiest international train
station.
Pro audio distribution company Promedias was brought in
by the station’s managers to upgrade the sound quality of
one of the station’s larger halls that houses two large
waiting areas, a café and a few small convenience and
service stands.
Four Iconyx Compact Series beam steering arrays,
two ICC36/3-RN and two ICC48/3-RN arrays with custom colour finishing
to blend into the decor of the hall were installed.
