Barco ClickShare gains French security certification for wireless conferencing
Barco has announced that the ClickShare CX-50 2nd gen has obtained ANSSI CSPN certification from the French Cybersecurity Agency.

The company said the certification makes Barco the first provider to achieve CSPN certification for a wireless conferencing system, giving organisations an independent security reference point when selecting meeting room technology for regulated environments.

The certification applies to the ClickShare CX-50 2nd gen running software version 02.20.02 and covers both the base unit and Button within the defined certification scope.

ANSSI’s CSPN certification, or Certification de Sécurité de Premier Niveau, evaluates IT products through independent security testing. Barco said the certification is intended to support customers working in sectors where collaboration systems may be used for sensitive meetings.

The company pointed to government, defence, critical infrastructure and large enterprise environments as examples of sectors where independent security certification can support procurement and risk decisions.

David Martens, head of product security at Barco, said: “With CSPN certification, we provide customers with an independent third-party reference that supports trust, compliance expectations, and security due diligence when deploying video conferencing in regulated and security-conscious environments.”

Barco said the certification may also have relevance beyond France. Under the CSPN-BSZ mutual recognition agreement between ANSSI and Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security, BSI, CSPN certification can be recognised in Germany under the BSZ scheme, depending on scope and conditions.
