Absen has appointed Mark Mason as business development manager for ProAV across the UK and Ireland, as the company continues to build out its regional presence and partner support structure.
Mason joins the LED display manufacturer with more than 20 years’ experience in the professional AV sector, spanning both manufacturer and distributor roles. His background includes senior sales and business development positions across the UK and Europe, giving him familiarity with the channel dynamics and project requirements that underpin the ProAV market.
In his new role, Mason will focus on supporting Absen’s network of resellers and integration partners, with an emphasis on developing project pipelines across key verticals. These include corporate, education, retail and digital out-of-home (DOOH), all of which continue to present growth opportunities for LED display deployments.
Based in Scotland, Mason will work alongside Absen’s wider European team to provide local support and technical guidance, reflecting a broader strategy to combine regional expertise with the company’s global manufacturing and R&D capabilities.
The appointment forms part of Absen’s ongoing investment in its European operations, with a focus on strengthening partner relationships and improving in-market support. For integrators, this typically translates into closer collaboration during specification and delivery phases, as well as access to application-specific LED solutions.
Commenting on his new position, Mason highlighted the opportunity to work more closely with partners across the region to support project delivery and business growth.
Emma Liu, regional president for Europe at Absen, said Mason’s experience and understanding of the ProAV landscape would support the company’s long-term plans in the UK and Ireland, particularly as demand for LED solutions continues to broaden across multiple application areas.
