Absen and Brompton enable next-gen VP with over 145 million pixels
Absen and Brompton technology converge to deliver more than 145 million pixels at a brand-new virtual production facility in Dallas, Texas.

Brompton Tessera SX40 LED processors combine with Absen LED screens across three advanced production stages, including a main cinematic volume designed for film and TV, as well as a specialised car process stage, and a smaller stage tailored for TV commercials and music videos.

The studios, operated by Optic8, use Absen’s PR series LED panels; with the facility’s cinematic stage equipped with 337.5 sqm of PR2.5 for the backdrop, 303 sqm of PR5.2 for the ceiling, and 32 sq.m of PR2.5 for the side walls.

The car process stage features 152 sq.m of PR1.9 for the backdrop,and 45 sq.m of PR2.5 overhead.

The commercial stage uses 75 sq.m of PR1.9 for the backrop and 54 sq.m of PR2.5 for the ceiling.

32 Brompton Tessera SX40 processors are used throughout the facility, supporting a total pixel processing capability of 324 million pixels.
