Dekom was tasked with delivering a largely invisible and highly flexible AV solution for a major German insurance group. The integrator responded with a system that concealed most of the equipment in the ceiling and furniture of the conference space. Anna Mitchell reports.
Ergo Versicherungsgruppe is a large German insurance group with numerous worldwide locations. When it wanted to create modern, flexible and highly presentable meeting spaces in its Cologne conference centre it turned to Hamburg headquartered Dekom.
The offices were in a building that was constructed in the 1970s but Ergo wanted to make sure the new meeting spaces were modern both in their appearance and the technologies deployed there.
It approached long time partner Dekom to help it devise a technology solution that provided eight meeting rooms that could be easily transformed into four conference rooms or one large presentation space. The project brief was put out to tender, a process that Dekom subsequently won.
