Theatres opt for Riedel intercoms

Three large theatres in Germany installed intercom solutions from Riedel Communications. While the State Theatres in Meiningen and Dresden chose Riedel's Performer 32 intercom matrix/stage management system, a Riedel Artist 64 intercom matrix is used at the opera house in Halle.


GLS bolsters pan-European comms

General Logistics Systems (GLS) has saved money and the environment with Tandberg videoconferencing systems, according to the parcel service provider. GLS has taken receipt of 23 Tandberg systems, originally connecting its main offices in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Italy.

Ryder Cup turns to Digico

Famous golf tournament, The Ryder Cup, recently drafted in the services of Digico for its Gala held in Kentucky. NMR Staging and Events managed the audiovisual installation for the event and chose a Digico CS-D5 to manage more than 24 inputs of video, wireless mics, recording/playback functions and outputs for the audience and broadcast recording desks.

Antwerp stadium beefs up sound system

Ampco Belgium has supplied and installed 72 Martin Audio OmniLine enclosures in different hang configurations within the massive, five-storey high Antwerp Sportpaleis concert and sports arena.

Dolphins splash out

The Norrköping Dolphins, a Swedish basketball team, has built itself a brand new home venue, turning to local audio contractor, Padab, for its sound requirements. A Yamaha EtherSound distribution network was specified for the 3,000 capacity Stadium Arena.

Netherlands in 3D rollout

Christie has been selected to fit 68 Christie 2K DLP Cinema projection systems in an exclusive agreement between the Amsterdam Booking Company B.V. (ABC), a buying group representing Dutch independent cinemas, and Arts Alliance Media (AAM), European digital cinema provider. Christie digital cinema projectors will be deployed in 68 screens within 20 cinemas across The Netherlands.
