Library overhauls AV

Caribbean Entertainment Technologies (CET), audio-visual, pro audio and lighting design company in the Caribbean, has recently completed a major project for The National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS) at the National Library of Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Churches unite through sound

When two new churches were recently built adjacent to each other in the Romanian city of Oradea (Nagyvárad), the Transylvanian Baptist community were keen to install up-to-date professional audiovisual systems in both which would work independently, but could also work as one system when needed. Hungarian audio specialists Studiotech Hungary were appointed to supply and install the system.

Sci-Fi Festival selects DP

The 8th Annual London International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film has selected Digital Projection (DP) to supply Titan 1080p-700 projectors for the event. Digital Projection will supply Titan 1080p-700 projectors to be used for digital screenings of a number of Premier films, along with a range of some notable classic science fiction films.

Midas joins the circus

On the concert hall tour of André Heller’s circus spectacular “Afrika! Afrika!”, Midas’ PRO6 digital console made its German debut. Sound engineer, Christian Ruppel a PRO6 digital console from Midas and after 50 shows said the product made his job “a whole lot easier”.

Old school gets new school

The winner of this year’s most innovative installation project in the education sector at the 2009 InAVation Awards was a radical project carried out at the, University of Hradec Kralové by Czech installation specialists, AV Media. The company’s projects have graced the pages of InAVate on several occasions in the past, but this one was a bit different.

AJAR-tec solves the case

Winner of the 2008 InAVate Award for Most InAVative large installation and runner up in 2009, AJAR-tec’s entry this year was another impressive project. Chris Fitzsimmons reports on the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) Crime Scene Investigation – Forensic Centre at Harperley Hall in the UK. The site also contains a Hydra immersive training facility for senior officers.
