The SunRay Hotel, 20km from the city of Dnepropetrovsk, has expanded its grounds, installing D.A.S. audio systems for sound reinforcement. The hotel created a new restaurant, divided on two floors and incorporating three distinct acoustic areas.

SkyTrain implements early warning signage

SkyTrain is an elevated dual track light rail transit system utilising fully automated trains that operate within Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. The line is operated by BCRTC under contract from TransLink, the regional government transportation agency. SkyTrain runs 49.5 km (of track to make it the longest automated light rapid transit system in the world. In total there are 33 stations on the system encompassing two lines: the Expo Line opened in 1986 and the Millennium Line opened in 2002.

Football team overhauls sound at stadium

A Dutch first division football team boosted sound quality and versatility at its 17,000-seat DSB Stadium, utilising an Electro-Voice sound system, installed by Pieee Solutions. AZ Alkmaar football team now has 16 clusters of 3, and 4 clusters of 2, Electro-Voice FRX+660PI weatherised speaker systems.

Theatres opt for Riedel intercoms

Three large theatres in Germany installed intercom solutions from Riedel Communications. While the State Theatres in Meiningen and Dresden chose Riedel's Performer 32 intercom matrix/stage management system, a Riedel Artist 64 intercom matrix is used at the opera house in Halle.

GLS bolsters pan-European comms

General Logistics Systems (GLS) has saved money and the environment with Tandberg videoconferencing systems, according to the parcel service provider. GLS has taken receipt of 23 Tandberg systems, originally connecting its main offices in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Italy.
