Netherlands in 3D rollout

Christie has been selected to fit 68 Christie 2K DLP Cinema projection systems in an exclusive agreement between the Amsterdam Booking Company B.V. (ABC), a buying group representing Dutch independent cinemas, and Arts Alliance Media (AAM), European digital cinema provider. Christie digital cinema projectors will be deployed in 68 screens within 20 cinemas across The Netherlands.

Lorient’s football club called in Audiolite to install a permanent sound system for its historic stadium. Audiolite utilised 42 Adamson Metrix W enclosures in the Stade de la Route de Lorient, inaugurated on September 15, 1912.

Casino puts its money on L-Acoustics

A Portuguese casino has installed an L-Acoustics dV-DOSC system after renovations at the 100-year-old building. The equipment was installed by distributor Avitel at the 10,000 capacity, multipurpose Casino Figueira in Figueira da Foz.

Giant LED screens grace Grand Prix

LEDVision, a Gearhouse South Africa company, supplied 200mÂ² of LED screen, microwave links and control for the fifth round of the 2009 A1 Grand Prix World Cup. This was staged in South Africa for the first time at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand near Johannesburg.

Courthouse goes for aesthetic install

The Omsk General Court in Siberia has tried to retain the historical character of its courthouse with a Nexo line-array sound system. The system was specified in white to compliment the sky-blue walls and white detailing.
