Yamaha joins AVnu Alliance

Yamaha will throw its weight behind the AVB network standard after joining the AVnu Alliance.
The audio specialist says it has a history of providing support for network formats such as Dante, EtherSound and CobraNet. Furthermore the company has also co-operated with third parties to release Yamaha-compatible network products.
Yamaha will continue this development by joining the AVnu Alliance, an industry forum dedicated to advancing and promoting the IEEE 802.1 Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) standard.
