Visionary will debut its XB5 USB-C conferencing bridge at InfoComm 2025, enabling single-cable BYOD connectivity as well as delivering video, audio, Ethernet and charging.
The XB5 offers single-cable operation, delivering video, audio, Ethernet, and charging through one USB-C connection while integrating natively into Visionary’s 16GbE AVoIP ecosystem.
The conferencing bridge provides bi-directional 4K60 4:4:4 video and audio, wired Ethernet access and up to 100W of charging power, without requiring additional software installation or driver configuration.
Featuring full compatibility with Visionary’s 5-series endpoints, the XB5 supports AES67 and Dante audio, as well as embedding and de-embedding of AEC-processed audio, featuring PoE+ power and a fanless design to reduce points of failure and simplify installation.
Using the XB5, an operator can used a preferred soft codec (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex or others) by plugging in a USB-C cable to their laptop, gaining access to the room’s cameras, microphones, speakers and displays without needing to change settings or troubleshoot device recognition.
The XB5’s virtual matrix routing also allows far-end participants and local content to be shared across a network.
