d&b brings in Sydney Opera House director to fill CMO role
d&b audiotechnik has appointed David Claringbold, a former director of Sydney Opera House, as its chief marketing officer.

Claringbold, a member of the d&b audiotechnik Advisory Board, joined the management team on March 29, 2017. He reports directly to CEO Amnon Harman, will be based in Germany and succeeds Sabina Berloffa. 

He will oversee marketing communications, public relations, brand management, market intelligence and product management. 

Calringbold joins the audio manufacturer after almost 20 years at the Sydney Opera House where he most recently served as director or Theatre and Events with responsibility for commercial performance, presenter marketing, technical direction and event operations.

Amnon Harman, CEO of d&b audiotechnik, said: “For decades [David has] not only been familiar with the international pro audio industry but also with d&b systems, and with our values.

“David has a clear vision of how markets around the world will change and how new demands and opportunities for pro audio solutions emerge.
