Vidyo extends mobile app to Android

Vidyo has made its HD multipoint videoconferencing app available on the Android market. VidyoMobile can now be used on Android tablets and smart phones.

The VidyoMobile application allows Vidyo’s enterprise customers to offer mobile workers the ability to participate in company video conferences from some Android mobile devices. This expands access to conferences that already connect iOS devices, laptops, desktops, telepresence and HD room systems; including interoperability with Polycom, Cisco/Tandberg and other H.323 and SIP endpoints.

VidyoMobile runs on most ARMv7-based Android devices running v2.2 through to v3.1 and the company says support for v4.0 will be available soon.
