VBrick has announced VEMS (VBrick Enterprise Media System), which it claims is the only complete integrated hardware and software system for distributing live or on-demand video and rich media presentations throughout a global enterprise.
VEMS uses bandwidth optimisation to intelligent route users to the best location to receive video content, without impacting on the operation of other networked applications.
The suite also includes a plug-in for IBM Lotus Sametime, allowing enterprise users to integrate video with the flagship unified communications tool – from instant messaging and telephony to email and web conferencing – and easily manage the content and distribution with VEMS. Users can search for VEMS content from within the Sametime client.
