The latest HDMI cable from Covid supports 8K system integration

Covid has launched the EC-HD31 8K HDMI non-plenum cable to support deployment of 8K systems.

Backward compatible for 4K/60 4:4:4 resolutions, the new 15ft (4.6m) 48-Gbps HDMI cable supports 8K@60 (7680x4320) 4:4:4 deep colour sampling as well as 8K100/120, 10K50/60, and up to 10K/100/120.

The cable supports Deep Color and x.v.Color, HDR10, eARC for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X 5.1/7.1, lossless Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Surround Sound, as well as CEC extension commands and functions, HDMI Ethernet channel, and ARC features. Integrators can design for up to 32 audio channels (LPCM) and 21:9 aspect ratio. The cable's aluminium housing features a gold-plated HDMI connector with a low-profile aluminium head.
