Sony Professional Solutions Europe has announced the launch of its full 4K IP system for hospitals, featuring a medical 4K recorder and content management system.
The system allows images to be viewed on-site, recorded and managed over an Ethernet network in/to support of medical procedures with Sony’s recently announced 4K surgical monitors (the 55-in LMD-X550MD and 31-in LMD-X310MD).
The HVO-4000MT medical recorder has a 4TB hard disk drive for recording, and allows videos to be exported to an external USB hard drive, flash memory or CIFS server via hospital networks for storage. The 4K, 3D and 2D grade device can record from endoscopic and laparoscopic camera systems, as well as surgical microscopes.
Its HIPAA-compliant CMDS-MS20MD content management system streamlines the storage, management and archive of 4K and HD medical video and still image files, and integrates with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. It also allows for network-based searching and the management of recorded 4K video data from medical recorders and other recording devices.
The system can also stream video content and captured live directly from connected IP cameras and live encoders, and provide video editing functionality.
Sony’s 4K surgical recorder and the content management system are now available in Europe.
