Sennheiser launches Spectera Studio to streamline wireless planning and deployment
Sennheiser has released Spectera Studio, a new system planning and configuration tool for its Spectera bidirectional wideband wireless ecosystem.

The software is designed to support engineers and technicians across preproduction, configuration and deployment, allowing full system planning and editing without requiring a live connection to a base station. Users can build new setups from scratch or import and modify existing configuration files created in Spectera WebUI.

Greg Simon, director of technical applications engineering at Sennheiser, said: “This is what Spectera users have been waiting for: A straightforward tool that lets them prepare a show offline or import settings from Spectera WebUI and modify them.”

A key function of Spectera Studio is its integrated system planner, which allows users to define link modes, mobile devices and antenna configurations across RF channels. Based on these parameters, the tool calculates RF capacity usage and indicates how much headroom remains, while also determining the number of base stations required.

The platform also supports configuration management tasks such as combining multiple save files, batch editing device parameters and migrating setups between deployments. Once complete, configurations can be exported and uploaded to a base station for deployment.

Spectera Studio works with files linked to the Mobile Transmitter Unique ID (MTUID) of each device. The software includes tools to view and update these IDs across configurations, helping to ensure alignment between devices and paired base stations and reducing the risk of deployment errors.

Spectera Studio is available via Sennheiser’s SoundBase platform alongside existing Spectera planning and testing tools.
