Pleneo launches automated room design tool for meeting spaces
Pleneo has introduced Pleneo Planner, an online tool designed to automate meeting room design and generate complete AV system layouts in minutes.

Built on standards from AVIXA, the platform allows users to input room dimensions and automatically generate a full system design, including placement of microphones, cameras, loudspeakers and processing based on coverage, sightlines and performance requirements.

The tool presents designs within an interactive 3D environment, enabling users to visualise microphone pickup zones, speaker coverage and camera fields of view in real time. It also allows users to step into the camera perspective to preview what participants will see, while making adjustments to components with immediate visual feedback.

Alongside design functionality, Pleneo Planner generates project documentation including bills of materials, wiring diagrams and presentation-ready renders. These outputs are intended to support both system specification and customer-facing proposals.

The platform supports Pleneo products as well as selected third-party components, allowing users to compare different system configurations within the same room environment.

Jakob Rinman, manager of product education and enablement at Pleneo, said: “Pleneo Planner brings consistency to room design at scale. By embedding real product data and best-practice design into every project, teams can standardise performance across entire estates.”
