Panasonic introduces 30 series of plasma displays

Panasonic has replaced its 20 series with a new plasma display range. The 30 series includes 42”, 50”, 60” and 65” models that are 3D capable.

The company is targeting the models at presentation, digital signage, visualisation and design applications and is bringing a new size of 60” to the professional line-up.

Panasonic has made the new series available with two model variants, the PH & PF screens, to cater for a variety of applications for mid to large format displays. The PF30 models are 3D ready with dual HD-SDI and Dual DVI-D boards to enable simultaneous 3D input. It includes 42”, 50”, 60” and 65” models, all of which have a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, high luminous efficiency for crisp, high-contrast images and a wide-viewing angle. Each display is equipped with "Slot 2.0” function slots to support various digital interfaces.

The PH30 models have been designed to reduce power consumption in comparison to the previous models. The 42” display, for example, consumes 35 percent less energy than its 20 series predecessor and the 50” display consumes 30% less.

All of Panasonic’s professional display products are now a part of the Offset for Life initiative, which allows customers to offset the carbon emitted through the usage of their displays.
