Optoma has launched the ProScene EX855 and EW865 XGA/WXGA 5500/6000 lumens installation projectors.
The models incorporate an interchangeable lens design and a built-in mechanical shutter allowing light to be completely blacked out without the need to switch off the projector. Optoma has also included a removable, self-cleaning filter.
A single chip DLP Dark Chip 3 (DC3) design is claimed to ensure faithful rendition of colour without degradation throughout the life of the projector. Optoma will offer an array of three purpose built lens options, from short throw to long. Each option will be controllable via motorised lens-shift, zoom and focus control.
The EX855 and EW865 are suitable for boardrooms, auditoriums, live events and houses of worship. They can be controlled via AMX Dynamic Discovery and Crestron Roomview.
These models also include a range of inputs and outputs including BNC, HDMI, DVI-D, component video and dual VGA inputs.
The projectors feature timer control functions and fast shutdown and start-up.
