NEC adds 70’ model to P-Series

NEC has bolstered its MultiSync range with a 70” model. The P701 joins the public display P-series and incorporates a professional grade panel designed for long term use.

The P701 is designed for digital signage, conference and control room applications.

It has a brightness of 600 cd/m², contrast ratio of 2,000:1 and resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, the monitor delivers digital signage content in full HD quality. This makes it suitable for size-critical implementations in retail signage, control centres or in public buildings.

An integrated ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness according to changing light conditions. This is designed to ensure that the display never consumes more power than necessary. The monitor features the NEC Option Slot for expansion modules such as the built-in PC or the Media Player. These slot-in devices replace external distribution equipment and cables in a bid to simplify installation and improve appearance.

The inbuilt LAN interface enables network integration and remote control and management of the display via control software, which is included free of charge. Also via Ethernet or the RS232 port the P701 can be calibrated with the NEC Display Wall Calibrator. In addition to all the common interfaces, the P701 also features a DisplayPort interface. This connectivity option works with compact connectors and enables higher bandwidths and longer connection cables.

The MultiSync P701 will be commercially available from March 2010 in black or silver.
