Lumens to unveil self-learning PTZ cameras at IBC 2022

Lumens has launched two self-learning PTZ cameras at IBC 2022 which have trained using machine learning to identify human faces and bodies.

Both models, the VC-TA50 and VC-TR40 use AI to access auto-tracking performance without the need for third-party software, additional hardware dongles or any user input.

The VC-TA50 is a single lens model, designed for use where the number of bodies in front of the camera is limited. This is designed for applications such as in a weather centre or house of worship environment.

The VC-TR40 model features twin cameras and can maintain auto-tracking even when multiple moving targets are visible in the lens. Both cameras incorporate auto-framing technology which autonomously zooms the lens to capture the presenters and talent.

IBC 2022 will take place at the RAI Amsterdam from 9-12 September 2022.
