Leader Electronics Europe will unveil its LV5350 4K test and measurement technology at BSC Expo 2024, debuting a ‘real-time’ false colour exposure tool for Arri and Red cameras belonging to the LV5350 Zen series 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI waveform monitor.
The new exposure tool for Arri and Red cameras will be shown with Leader’s Cinezone, overlaying false colours on the image to determine exposure zones.
Each LV5350 incorporates Leader’s Cinelite, offering on-picture measurement of RGB, luminance and f-stop levels in a display which enables inspection of brightness and exposure levels.
F-stop-based evaluation enables an operator to respond rapidly to variations in lighting level.
Optional features for the LV5350 include 4K/UHD HDR support, SDI-embedded audio analysis, SDI signal generation, CIE chroma chart, customised display layout, tally display, extended chroma vector display and closed-caption display. A focus detection algorithm enables the instrument to sense edges across a range of image contrast levels.
The Leader LV5350 will also be used by Sony at the show in an on-set DIT configuration with Sony’s Burano full-frame 8K cinema camera.
BSC Expo 2024 will take place at Battersea Evolution, London, from 16-17 February 2024.
