ATEN International has launched the CE980 and CE990 USB 4K DisplayPort/HDMI optical KVM extenders.
These are ATEN’s first fibre optic KVM extenders supporting 4K video, with transmission distances of up to 300 metres (CE980) or 10 kilometers (CE990). Designed for mission-critical control environments such as transportation, manufacturing, and utilities, the new extenders support HDR10, ensuring video quality with precise colour reproduction.
To enhance installation flexibility, both models feature a 2-in-1 DisplayPort/HDMI combo connector, allowing connections to either DisplayPort or HDMI displays at both the local and remote ends. This versatile design supports various display configurations, enabling users to mix or match output types as needed.
ATEN CE980 and CE990 support the extension of keyboard/mouse control, RS-232, USB 2.0 data, and both stereo and embedded audio over fiber optic cabling. Supported audio formats include LPCM 7.1CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio.
Whether used to control servers in a secure data centre, operate medical equipment, or manage high-resolution content in broadcast or industrial applications, ATEN CE980 and CE990 provide stable, interference-free transmission with built-in EMI resistance, ensuring uninterrupted performance.
