L-Acoustics has debuted its LC16D multichannel network audio converter, with audio interfacing options for Milan AVB.
The LC16D is a AES/EBU and MADI-to-Milan AVB audio network converter, housed in a 1RU chassis. Featuring up to 80 legacy format inputs and outputs, the LC16D can interface with up to 128 channels to and from the network, offering mapping of audio channels and synchronisation options controlled via an embedded web interface.
The LC16D features flexible power options, using PoE and Milan AVB audio connections to provde redundancy features as standard.
The integrated web interface enables full control and monitoring from any device with a web browser and internet connection, with ten user configurations for storing and loading of different channel mappings, as well as clocking options to make synchronisation and distribution of clock sources across connection formats possible.
The LC16D’s integrated sample rate converters on each AES/EBU input eliminates the need for complex synchronisation management, enabling digital consoles to use their independent clock domains.
