G&D unveils KVM highlights for ISE 2020

Guntermann & Drunck will demonstrate its KVM products at the show, with classic KVM systems and KVM-over-IP for control rooms alongside a range of IP extenders, allowing the ControlCenter-IP to form a matrix which allows any connected operator station to be granted access to any remote computer.

The network infrastructure then takes over the transport of KVM-over-IP by using network switches and routers with the ControlCenter-IP adding the logic.
Transmission then takes place compressed over CAT cabling or optical fibres via standard IP-based networks on layer three, with a data transmission rate of up to 1 bit/s per line.

Standard network components can be used with the KVM-over-IP system, allowing existing IT installations to be scaled effectively.

The ControlCenter-IP system uses compression technology HDIP, allowing for loss-less transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz.

The system can be used with IP extender systems for DP1.2a and DP1.1a in addition to single link and dual link DVI, with a range of video signals and resolutions up to 4K over IP being supported.

The ControlCenter-IP system can also be integrated into standard AV equipment, with an integration of ControlCenter-IP in a video wall application with media control to be demonstrated at the G&D booth at ISE 2020.

The DP1.2-VisionXG 8K extender system extends the access of computers over distances of up to 10,000m, extending 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz with transmission taking place over optical fibres. This allows the system to permit users to operate computers remotely in real time.

The RemoteAccess-CPU will also be unveiled, featuring new modules that facilitate the design of hybrid systems with real and virtual infrastructures.

Once configuration is complete, any number of virtual sources can be accessed directly via the KVM matrix system, with users able to select the desired source to be switched from a standardised overview, whether the PC is in the room or in the cloud.

The matrixGuard function will also be added, ensuring that if a database master fails within the matrix grid, one of the matrix slaves can take over the role of the master, allowing the system to run automatically without interruption.

ISE 2020 will run from 11 February – 14 February 2020 at the RAI Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
