KVM manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck has added four new extender systems for KVM-over-IP to its product portfolio.
Transmission takes place compressed via CAT cabling or optical fibres via standard IP-based networks on layer 3, with a data transmission rate of 1 Gbit/s per line.
The new systems support a number of signals to provide DVI single- and dual-link, DP 1.1 and DP 1.2 at all common resolutions. The DP1.2-Vision-IP has set a new milestone that can extend real 4K@60 Hz over IP and supports resolutions up to 4096 × 2160 @ 60 Hz. Transmission takes place compressed, with G&D claiming lossless and latency-free video transmission.
The systems are compatible and work according to G&D’s mix and match concept. The extender modules can also be combined with the ControlCenter-IP to create a matrix for typical control room applications.
