Extron has expanded its Fox3 fibre optic platform with four new DisplayPort fibre optic extenders, providing long haul transmission of DisplayPort video, USB, stereo audio, control, IR, and 3D sync signals over fibre optic cabling.
The new extenders, Fox3 321 and Fox3 331, deliver uncompressed images up to 4K/60 @ 4:4:4 over two fibres, or ‘mathematically’ lossless 4K/60 @ 4:4:4 over one fibre.
The Fox3 321 extenders include a USB port with support for USB 2.0 to 1.0 devices and a USB HID port for device class filtering to restrict device types to HID.
The Fox3 331 extenders only feature the USB HID port, providing an additional layer of protection for secure applications.
