Crestron updates 1 Beyond cameras with new video capabilities

Crestron has announced its 1 Beyond 2.0 firmware update, bringing intelligent multi-camera switching for up to five 1 Beyond cameras, as well as new tracking features and improved integration across the Crestron ecosystem.

The 1 Beyond cameras 2.0 firmware brings intelligent switching for up to five cameras in one room, as well as new features designed to improve tracking, automation, and integration in workplace and learning spaces.

The update allows users to target medium-sized rooms and connect up to four i12 or i20 companion cameras to a primary i12 camera for a more automated user experience.

Intelligent switching between all deployed cameras can be automated using visual cues for the i-series cameras or via a custom Crestron Control program which can switch between i-Series and p-Series cameras.

A new 1 Beyond multi-cam module can help integrators create custom programs based on triggers, such as from ceiling microphones. This update allows integrators and users to tailor camera behaviour to the needs of each space while maintaining a single USB connection from the primary camera to the videoconferencing system.

New configuration options also allow for camera prioritisation and will automatically switch to capture movement in essential areas such as a whiteboard or lectern.

Additionally, the update now enables users to create and store up to four different presenter tracking profiles, allowing for multiple settings including presentation zone, home position, tracking shot, blocking zones, and preset zones.

The p-Series cameras can focus in speaker tracking scenarios by prioritising the most prominent faces in view, designed to be used in tandem with the Automate VX multi-camera speaker tracking system.

The p-Series cameras feature automatic repositioning to a designated starting point after rebooting or exiting privacy mode, designed for platform based features like multiple camera view in Microsoft Teams Rooms.

1 Beyond cameras can also integrate into existing DM NVX systems that support USB extension with no additional configuration.
